Another Robert “Bees” Prendergast St. Patrick’s Reception is in the books! And we couldn’t have done it without you. With your incredible, generous support as well as support from our business sponsors and Silent Auction donors, Hillcrest Educational Foundation raised $56,785 at our annual St. Patrick’s Day gala.
Your generosity provides kids with the treatment and education they need to heal from past traumas and thrive.
It was our pleasure honor two incredible community servants for their dedication to the Berkshire community.
Robert L. W. “Robin” McGraw was named 2019’s “Irish Person of the Year.” As a first responder, Deputy Sheriff and member of the Opiate Task Force, and coach and mentor in youth soccer, Robin’s given his time, energy, expertise, and resources to various human services, health care, and education organizations in the community. We couldn’t think of a more deserving candidate than Robin to receive this award.
Michael MacDonald, Esq. received the “Judge John. A. Barry Community Service” Award for his commitment to seeing Pittsfield flourish. He’s been member and leader of many committees, including Downtown, Inc. Most recently he was a part of the Community Turf Field Committee that brought the Berkshires its first publicly available turf field at Berkshire Community College. It’s our great pleasure to present Mike with this award.
And, of course, we are beyond proud of both Sam and Kearston for presenting during the reception. Both are incredibly brave and accomplished young women who are a part of Brookside Intensive Treatment Unit, one of Hillcrest’s three residential programs.
Please take a moment to listen to Sam and her foster father share their stories, as well as Kearston’s beautiful rendition of Rise Up.
Thank you to our lead sponsor, Greylock Federal Credit Union!
